This February, the Trans community lost two individuals to violence - Tahiry Broom of Michigan and Sam Nordquist of NY. Their senseless deaths devastated multiple communities, several families and touched the hearts of people around the world. In a time that the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and Trans community specifically are facing hit after hit, the blatant disregard for life of a Trans sibling is beyond devastating.
WAYS TO SUPPORT
The family needs help with expenses for travel, food and motels and other living expenses out of state as they retrieve Sam's body and set up funeral and memorial expenses.
Patricia Bender (Polo), aunt of Tahiry Broom, who was brutally murdered in Southfield, Michigan is raising money for her sister (Tahiry's mom) for memorial services and other miscellaneous expenses.
